- Full feature main control panel with:
- Fourteen control keys.
- LEDs for each key operation indication.
- Memory storage for parameters.
- Output for compressor, fan, airsweep and heater.
- Temperature sensing using Thermistor.
- Temperature setting between 18c to 28c.

- Compressor ON and OFF timer cycle setting.
- Airconditioner ON and OFF timer cycle setting.
- Three speed fan control.
The Air Conditioner Controller will either locally or remotely control any type of airconditioner. The proto is a single board with all the relays including the power transformer. You will need a slave relay for higher current driving capability in case the compressor draws more than 5A@230VAC. We strongly suggest using a slave relay in case you wish to test it with an actual air conditioner.
A standard remote controller has been used so as to both reduce cost of the system as well as provide complete operation convenience. The switches on the front panel are arranged in sequence and relates to the two outside rows on the remote control provided. The centre row in the remote control is not used.
Brief Operation Details:
Power On Off will turn on the AC only. The display will continuously display the room temperature. The AC ON timer is settable when the AC is OFF.
To set any parameter including Temperature/[Cool], Compressor On Timer, Compressor Off Timer, AC Off Timer or AC On Timer - Press the appropriate switch. The LED will blink to indicate that it is in the programming mode and the display will either display the set value for temperature/[Cool] or it will display remaining value OR the set value for the other timers. Therefore, if you had already set the compressor On Timer, then it will display the remaining time instead of the earlier set value. After setting the value for these timers, the display will revert back to temperature display. However, the LED will remain On for the duration of the timing sequence.
The fan is in Auto mode by default. However, if the fan is manually set to either Hi, Med or Lo then it will remain at this setting. To bring the fan back to Auto mode, the AC will have to be turned off by pressing the power button. If you set the heater temperature, then the Cool mode will go off and the fan will be in Auto mode. To revert back to the Cool, press the cool button and either set the temperature, or wait for ten seconds for the programming mode to go off or press the cool button twice. The system will go from heat mode to cool mode.
The compressor ON timer is set in hours and the Compressor Off timer is set in minutes. The AC on timer and off timer is in hours only. In case of power failure during the timer modes, the setting is stored in memory but the timing will not continue until it is selected again. The same is true for the AC On timer where the AC will go ON after a preselected time. If the power fails, the system will not continue counting the time for AC on timing. Please note that all parameters are stored in the memory but not the current operating time.
Technical Specifications for Airconditioner Remote Controller:
1. Single self contained board with power supply, relays, display and RC receiver.
2. Fourteen key feather touch keypad with LEDs.
3. Microchip PIC Slim package microcontroller with EEPROM memory for parameter storage during power fail and power down.
